Member Recognition – December 2016

This month, we recognize Andrew Bahr, member since 1985. Yes, over three decades with our Chapter!

After graduating Ryerson in 1974, Andrew worked for Stelco for nine years. He joined PMI Toronto in April of 1985 after switching to a Project Engineering position for a Hamilton based carbon black manufacturer. He actively attended monthly chapter meetings as well as Annual Seminars/Symposiums through the 1990's. Since 2001 he has worked for Sid Richardson Carbon and Energy, where he manages Capital Projects in both Texas and Louisiana.

He is proud to mention that, in his current position as Project Engineering Supervisor, he coaches/mentors his direct reports who benefit from his extensive project management experience. About his current participation in PMI Toronto he says this: “Travel requirements have made it difficult to attend PMI Toronto chapter meetings, but keeping up my membership has kept me in touch with what's going on in the profession in the region and I am looking forward to my return to the area in a few years.”

The Member Recognition team has selected Andrew because he was the only one who satisfied the selection criteria set for December, 2016, i.e. 'member with the longest tenure'.
